 During my placement, I maintained accurate attendance records on the SIS (Student Information System) program on a daily basis, as required by school policy and the NSW Department of Education and Communities, to fulfill the requirements of the child protection policy. With roll-call marked in the first period and updated in the following periods, students were recorded as being under teacher supervision. 
For incursions, I marked students immediately after attending the incursion to record their participation in the incursion activity. The school requires marking students’ attendance either before or after attending the session to ensure student safety and wellbeing. 
For the excursion, I again complied with the school’s attendance policy by marking the students on a class list and sending it off to the office for records to indicate student’s participation in an excursion for the school office as expected by school policy. During the excursion and after return, students were again marked on SIS for recording purposes, ensuring their safe return to school.
