 2.6: Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

A snapshot of class performance in a progress-monitoring assessment of bilingual Kindergarten students, conducted after a two-week interval to evaluate overall performance and specific areas that require additional support.

This ICT program has been used to evaluate students and my own performance based on outcomes, effectively providing targeted learning opportunities aligned with students’ current progress. This information pinpointed areas of development, shown by the colour red, whereas yellow and green showed ‘working at’ and ‘working beyond’ respectively. This information directed my focus towards ‘reading tricky words’ and ‘writing words’, as shown in the computer analysis of the class data, and it helped students who were struggling to read and write independently and helped plan extension activities for students performing within the green band.
