My name is Beenish and I have recently completed my Masters in Teaching from the University of South Australia. This digital portfolio demonstrates my pedagogical philosophy of teaching and achievement of focus areas within the Australian Teaching Standards.  

Australian professional standards for teachers provide a comprehensive framework, defining their work, and highlighting elements of high-quality teaching at each career stage. The established continuum includes key focus areas from three broad domains of professional knowledge, practice, and engagement, developing from an undergraduate to an exemplary classroom practitioner.

This framework also provides a common understanding and language for successful engagement in the profession ensuring teacher quality and the highest educational outcomes for children. Common language and understanding facilitate teachers’ reflection and assessment which acts as a catalyst for continuous development in the teaching profession (Groundwater-Smith, Ewing & Le Cornu 2015).
